U.S. Congressman Dan Webster | 8th District of Florida

Congressman Daniel Webster is a family man and small business owner who is dedicated to serving Central Florida with honor and integrity. Webster is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives (2010-present), where he serves on the House Committee on Rules and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
For more than three decades, he has fought on behalf of Florida’s hardworking taxpayers and families to advance common-sense reforms and principled policy. During his time in the Florida Legislature (1980-2008), Webster served as the Speaker of the Florida House and Majority Leader in the Florida Senate, working to pass sweeping reforms in Florida that were based on solid governing principles.
From his first day in leadership, Webster worked to reform the way Legislature did business, requiring all proposed laws to meet specific criteria that would determine its effectiveness in benefiting the people of the great state of Florida.
With his engineering background, Webster is working on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure where he applies nearly thirty-five years of transportation experience in Florida to create jobs, improve Florida’s roads and highways, and find ways to save money by eliminating fraud and abuse.
Webster’s other committee assignment in Congress is on the influential House Rules Committee where he is fighting to bring more transparency to the process and advance a policy environment based on principle, not power.
Daniel and Sandy Webster have been blessed by six children, and eight wonderful grandchildren. Congressman Webster is active in First Baptist Church of Central Florida, where he grew up and has taught Sunday School for nearly 40 years. Known for many things, Daniel Webster holds his faith, his family, and his principles as his biggest assets.
