Today, Representative Daniel Webster (FL-10) led debate on the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2014, and the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2014. Together, these bills support the military and their families, provide for the benefits and medical care for our nation’s veterans, help secure our national borders and provide for the safety and well-being of all Americans.

“The two underlying bills fund necessary programs that train, equip, house, and support the brave men and women who sacrificially defend our freedoms, and also support their families.

“Our debt of gratitude to these individuals does not expire when they retire, and so the legislation also funds important programs to provide benefits and medical care to our veterans,”
said Webster.
