U.S. Representative Daniel Webster (FL-10), issued the following statement in recognition of Labor Day, which is Monday, September 3rd:

“As we set aside time to pay tribute to American workers this weekend, let us remember the contributions, sweat, and sacrifices that hardworking men and women make each day to strengthen our families, our communities, and our great country.

“Labor Day honors a long legacy of American ingenuity. As a small business owner, I have learned the value of hard work, and know the difficulty of balancing a checkbook with limited resources. Too many Americans are still unemployed, underemployed, or just managing to scrape by. As a nation, we must focus on creating jobs and revitalizing the economy through sound principled leadership.

“During this national holiday, let us pause to appreciate our exceptional heritage, and promote our strong American spirit, ”
stated Webster.
