Our Nation’s Capital is a truly unique place where democracy is exercised, and our heritage is preserved for generations of Americans.
My staff are eager to provide assistance in facilitating tour requests for many of the historic sites in Washington. My office in Washington can arrange tours of several popular sites in Washington, D.C., for residents of Florida's 11th District. Please keep in mind that while tickets are free, admittance is determined by the individual tour site or agency, not by the Congressional office. Unless specified, tours are available Monday through Friday. These tours are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and the summer months are the peak tourist season.
U.S. Capitol Tours
- U.S. Capitol Tours are offered Monday through Saturday, with the exception of Federal holidays.
- You may book a public tour of the U.S. Capitol yourself by visiting the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center website. Please call my office at 202.225.1002 with any questions or concerns.
White House Tours
- Tour requests for the White House should be made at least 3 months in advance.
- White House tours are conducted Tuesday-Saturday and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is very limited, and there is no guarantee that you will receive tickets.
FBI Tours
- FBI Tours are offered Monday through Friday, with the exception of Federal holidays.
- If you are requesting a FBI tour, our office will have to request additional security information upon receiving your request for the FBI to conduct the necessary background checks.
- Attendees of FBI tours must be either U.S. Citizens or hold a valid Passport and Green Card.
- Tour requests for the FBI must be made at least 4 weeks in advance.
Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Tours
- BEP Tours are offered Monday through Friday, with the exception of Federal holidays.
- BEP Tours must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
- Tours of the BEP requested through a Congressional office are only assigned the time slots of 8:15am or 8:45am. If you are requesting a different time, you must obtain a public tour by visiting the BEP Tour page.
Tips for Visiting Capitol Hill
- House Galleries - The House galleries are open M-F from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM when the House is in recess and 30 minutes prior to the start of each session until adjournment when it's in session. Gallery tickets are required and can be picked up at my D.C. office.
- Meals - The Longworth Cafeteria is open for visitors until 3:00 PM.
- Transportation - Since parking is extremely limited in Washington, taxis, buses, and the Metrorail subway are the easiest forms of transportation to and from Capitol Hill.
