Webster Applauds Trump for Signing Legislation to Combat Opioid Crisis

 Clermont, FL – Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement after President Trump signed HR. 6, the Patients and Communities Act into law.

“Life is a precious gift, in 2016, the lives of 4,728 Floridians were lost due to an opioid overdose. Providing law enforcement, the healthcare industry and local communities the tools to combat this crisis has been one of our priorities.  HR 6, the Patients and Communities Act, which passed the House and Senate with bipartisan support does just that. I thank President Trump for signing it into law.”
