Webster on November Jobs Report
Washington, DC – Today, Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement on the November Job’s Report.
“Since day one, President Trump made it a priority to remove unnecessarily burdensome regulations that were crippling job and wage growth and hurting American small business owners. Today’s results are proof our economy will prosper when you have leadership sending the clear message America is open for business and government gets out of the way of hardworking Americans!”
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics
- 266,000 new jobs were added to the market in November
- Wages are up 3.1% from a year ago for private sector employees and up 3.7% for nonsupervisory and production workers - a post-recession high.
- Unemployment is at a 50-year low.
