Webster Votes to Denounce Socialism

Washington, D.C. — Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.Con.Res.58, a resolution cosponsored byCongressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, that denounces the horrors of socialism.
“Socialism has never, and will never work,” said Rep. Webster. “In contrast, capitalism has lifted millions out of poverty, empowered families to build better lives, and continues to be a great force for human advancement. Florida is home to countless individuals who escaped socialist regimes, seeking the promise of freedom and individual liberty that the United States offers.”
“We must remain vigilant in opposing socialist ideology and ensure that every generation continues to uphold the founding principles of our nation. America’s strength has always come from limited government, free enterprise, and the God-given rights of the individual.”
