Webster Praises USDOT for Investing in Transportation Disadvantaged

Washington, DC – Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R- Clermont, today released the following statement praising U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao for hosting the first Access and Mobility for All Summit and announcing nearly $50million in new initiatives to expand access to transportation for seniors and people with disabilities.

“Throughout my time in public service, I have advocated for and worked to improve access and mobility for seniors and people with disabilities. Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Transportation held their first Access and Mobility for All Summit. This summit was the result of language that was included in the FAST Act at my request.

“I thank Secretary Chao for hosting this important conversation and dedicating resources to improve and expand transportation access for these Americans. I look forward to continuing to work together to identify and improve ways to provide more efficient, affordable and accessible services.”
