Washington, D.C. — Today, Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, voted to pass H.R. Con. Res. 14, establishing the congressional budget for Fiscal Year 2025 and projected spending caps through FY2034.
“This marks a significant step forward in fulfilling President Trump’s agenda to restore fiscal responsibility, strengthen our military, secure our borders, and put America First,” said Rep. Webster. “By passing this budget resolution, my House Republican colleagues and I are one step closer to delivering President Trump ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL that will unleash American energy, make the historic tax cuts permanent, and reinvigorate the American economy to usher in the next great American century.”
The bill does not make any policy changes or spending cuts; it provides committees with instructions on key issue areas. Next steps are for individual Congressional Committees to meet to develop and pass individual legislation that reduces and prioritizes spending in their areas of jurisdiction including:

- Energy Independence: Committees will prioritize legislation that will unleash American energy production to restore energy dominance and provide Americans with affordable and reliable energy.
- Tax Relief: Instructs committee to lock in the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts, preserving pro-growth policies that have fueled job creation, supported small businesses, and provided relief to American families.
