(Washington, DC) – For the third year in a row, U.S. Representative Daniel Webster (FL-10) has voluntarily reduced his salary to 2008 levels. After taking a personal check over to the U.S. Department of Treasury to help in paying down our national debt, Representative Webster issued the following statement:

“Over the past few years, individuals, families and businesses across Central Florida have tightened their belt and learned to do more with less. If we’re ever going to get serious about reducing our debt, it will take more than talk, it will take action. For this reason, I have again voluntarily rolled back my salary to 2008 levels. This alone won’t solve our nation’s fiscal woes, but it is a small example of how the federal government can reduce its habitual excessive spending.”
