(Washington, DC) – During the announcements in today’s U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s 114^th Congress organizational meeting, Representative Daniel Webster (FL-10) was reassigned to the subcommittees on Water Resources and Environment and Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials.

Along with these reassignments, Rep. Webster was also added to the influential Highways & Transit Subcommittee for the 114^th Congress. Following the organizational meeting, Rep. Webster issued the following statement:  

“Much lies in store for the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. I am looking forward to continuing my current work in the Committee, as well as joining the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit as it begins its work on a much anticipated highway bill. Transportation is critical to our economy and job creation in Central Florida, and I will continue to work towards improving our transportation infrastructure while ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.”

Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chair Bill Shuster added the following regarding Webster’s appointment:

“Rep. Webster is a valuable addition to the Subcommittee, which will draw on his engineering background and extensive experience with transportation policy at a critical moment as it develops a bill to reauthorize surface transportation programs.
