Washington, D.C. — TodayFlorida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, voted to pass H.R. 3944, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2026 to provide comprehensive funding to strengthen national defense, support military families, and our veterans.
 
“This legislation provides critical funding that upholds our commitment to our nation’s service members, delivers on our promises to veterans and keeps our nations safe,” said Rep. Webster. “We owe our veterans a debt we can never repay, and with my vote I am ensuring that veterans’ health care programs, benefits, and VA programs are fully funded. This bill advances President Trump’s America First agenda by prioritizing strategic military infrastructure and the needs of service members and their families.”
 
The Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act also includes a key provision offered by Congressman Webster to protect the Second Amendment rights of veterans by preventing the VA from sending information to the FBI about veterans without a judge’s consent. 
 
Highlights of H.R. 3944:
  • Fully funds veterans’ health care programs.
  • Fully funds veterans’ benefits and VA programs.
  • Provides $300 billion for toxic exposure and other medical care
  • Invests in the new Bridging Rental Assistance for Veteran Empowerment program to support President Trump’s work to combat veteran homelessness. 
  • Includes President Trump’s Executive Orders to ensure that taxpayer dollars are not used to fund DEI or “gender affirming care” at the VA.
  • Prohibits the diversion of VA resources for veterans to illegal aliens.
