Webster Votes to Block Biden-Era Refrigeration Mandates
March 27, 2025
Washington, D.C. — Today, Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, voted to pass H.J.Res 75 and H.J.Res 24, resolutions to overturn Biden-era Department of Energy regulations on commercial refrigerators, walk in-coolers, and walk-in freezers.
“Today, House Republicans took a stand for American small businesses, working families, and commonsense,” said Rep. Webster. “This bill rejects yet another costly, top-down mandate from the Biden Administration that would have punished America’s small businesses and families in pursuit of their radical green agenda.”
From December 2024 to January 2025, then-President Biden’s Department of Energy finalized rules that would limit consumer choice and increase costs for small businesses and American families. The Biden Administration caved to far-left activist’s demands for new energy standards for refrigeration equipment, walk-in coolers, and walk-in freezers.
