Washington, D.C. — Recently, Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, was named a “Defender of Limited Government” by the Institute for Legislative Analysis (ILA), which advocates for limited government as envisioned by America’s Founding Fathers.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition of my record of consistently fighting for and supporting policies that ensure our government is accountable to the American people, and preserves their constitutional freedoms,” said Rep. Webster. “As a principled conservative, I have and will continue to support policies that enforce the ideals of limited government.”

"Our comprehensive analysis of Rep. Webster's voting record shows he has stood strong for limited government principles in Congress. It is encouraging to see him bring the ideals of the Sunshine State to Washington to combat the big government policies of the swamp," said Ryan McGowan, Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Legislative Analysis.

The Institute for Legislative Analysis’ Limited Government Index is a national scorecard created with a philosophy based solely on the limited government principles of the U.S. Constitution.
