Rep Webster: Her Resignation is Overdue
July 23, 2024
Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement on the resignation of U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.
“This resignation is overdue - I called for her to do this last week given the abject failures that led to the attempted assassination of President Trump. I still have many questions about the security failures that took place, and I am confident that the House will conduct a thorough investigation into the attack. We will not rest until there is full accountability to ensure this never happens again.”
