Representative Daniel Webster (FL-10) issued the following statement today following his vote in support of bipartisan passage of amending H.J.Res. 59, the Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2014:

“Congress makes the laws, but they should have to live by them too. Tonight, I voted to require Congress and the President to enroll and experience Obamacare the same way the American people will. I also voted to give individuals the same respite from this law that big businesses and other special interests were already granted. While the hallmark of the President’s health care law has been exemptions for those with connections and deep pockets, it’s time to level the playing field.

“The Senate should join us in ending these special treatments and keeping the government open. The hour is getting late,”
said Rep. Webster.
