Washington, D.C. — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, yesterday voted to pass H.R. 6192, the Hands Off Our Home Appliances Act, legislation that modifies the Department of Energy’s process for issuing energy efficiency standards on household and commercial appliances.

“Americans should have the choice to purchase appliances that best suit their needs, not those of bureaucrats in Washington,” said Rep. Webster. “Since day one, President Biden and his Department of Energy have moved to impose their radical climate agenda on Americans by issuing burdensome regulations on household appliances. I voted to pass H.R. 6192 to push back against heavy-handed regulatory overreach and protect consumer choice."
