Rep. Webster’s Statement Following the Dismissal of the DOJ’s Case Against President Trump
July 15, 2024
Clermont, FL — Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement after Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed President Trump’s classified documents case.
“Today’s dismissal of the sham classified documents case against President Trump is a victory for the rule of law. I applaud Judge Aileen Cannon for recognizing the partisan overreach we’ve seen from the Department of Justice in the unconstitutional appointment of so called ‘special counsel’ Jack Smith. As we work to unify this country, this decision exonerates President Trump and marks a significant step in ending the weaponization of the federal government and reaffirms the integrity of our legal system.”
